It was spotlessly clean, everyone was knowledgeable. Got double room on higher floors when arrived, truly enjoyed that. The location turned out to be particularly good, so close to the center of Bruges, restaurants and the honour bar, and shops. I was happy to find Tom's Diner, it was not too far away from the hotel and served nice food.

It was bright, quiet and with an excellent bed. There were croissants, bread, and cakes in the dining room. The location was great and incredible, for example, a bustling plaza was at a medium distance from the hotel.

It's old looking hotel, nevertheless the breakfast here is savoury and staff are pleasant. The room is reasonably priced. The breakfast is served in the dining room! When I am in Bruges, I like staying here.

We spent 4 nights in great-sized and compact a double room with 1x queen size bed + sofa bed. The hotel was set in a central area not far from bars which must check out, Brussels, and restaurants and the honour bar. Ate at Tom's Diner, it's not too far away from the venue...

All was perfect!

This charming small hotel is conveniently located near the city centre, making it easy to explore the old town. The rooms are comfortable, with large beds and blackout curtains for a restful sleep. The owner is friendly and helpful, providing maps and discounts for Bruges attractions. The breakfast is a highlight, offering a selection of cold meats, cheese, breads, preserves, as well as hot eggs. The dining room is beautifully decorated, adding to the cozy atmosphere. it is a warm and welcoming place to stay, perfect for families and couples.

Limited power points to charge phones.

Fantastic location, cozy comfortable hotel in a lovely large family home on the outskirts of the Bruges old town.

The breakfast was very enjoyable: fresh croissants, scrambled eggs, bread, delicious cheeses,...The bed was good and the pillow, too! The location is great!

This is the best place to stay, recommend. The breakfasts are fresh and abundant in the hotel, with pastries, cheeses and ham.

the hotel exceeded our expectations with its welcoming staff, great location, and delicious breakfast. the lady running the hotel knew everything about Bruges and made our visit extra special. highly recommended.

Soundproofing could be improved.

Our compact room was equipped with the basics like a sofa bed, central heating and a work desk. The location was marvellous and handy for walking around Ezelpoort City Gate. There was a NICE restaurant at a moderate distance from the hotel.

Staying at Hotel Gulden Vlies (Golden Fleece) was like staying at an aunt's house - perfectly pleasant but more b&b than hotel. We chose the hotel because it was easy to get to by car and had free public parking on the opposite side of the road. The walk to Markt Square is about 10 mins. In Bruges itself I would recommend the De Haalve Maan brewery tour and 't Brugs Beertje, don't bother with any of the restaurants in the main square as the food is pretty bad and expensive - explore the side streets instead!

We were right at the top so lots of steep stairs to climb after a busy day sightseeing but that was fine until I noticed the enormous spider lurking above the first flight. From then on had to do that bit at a run!

Large bedroom with tea & coffee making facilities. Free parking available nearby. Very friendly and polite staff.

The on-suite bathroom had a glass door - which was not very private.
